We are very thankful that despite the suddenness and unexpected circumstances that have affected many of us throughout 2021, the Ministry of Empowerment continues to offer Support, Encouragement, and Empowerment to women and families through the provision of encouraging and empowering sessions
On behalf of the Ministry of Empowerment Board of Management 2021, we thank you for your support during 2021 and wish you a restful and relaxing holiday and we hope you have a wonderful year ahead.
May God Bless You with the riches of His grace with the treasure of His love with the comfort of His mercies with the strength of His presence with the touch of His care
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time: They just have the heart (Elizabeth Andrew)
Thank you to all the Ministry of Empowerment Board Members and volunteers that have served over the past year and years.
Without your dedication and commitment, we would not have been able to achieve as much as we have.
Wishing you, our members, and supporters for your participation and contributions during 2021 to the Ministry of Empowerment.
Met volunteers from the Empower2Engage – Afternoon Tea sessions.
Empower2Enage, funded by Croydon LVP, volunteers offer support to both women and men over the age of 55yrs who would otherwise remain isolated in the community in which they live due to the social and life barriers.
Are you a woman that often sacrifices your own needs for the needs of others?
Ministry of Empowerment – Women’s Ministry Retreat provides an opportunity for women not only to be supported, encouraged, and empowered but to relax in a tailored setting.
This setting allows an opportunity to:
Fellowship uninterrupted
Listen and share
Relax and refresh our tired bodies
Steal away from our everyday routine
Share enlightenment of the Word
These elements make the Ministry of Empowerment – Women’s Ministry retreat a unique time for relaxation, inspiration, learning, and just having fun with friends and family.
Please remember allocation will be made on a ‘FIRST COME FIRST SERVED’ basis; it is essential therefore that you BOOK EARLY!
Samuel heard the voice of God but did not recognize it until he was instructed by Eli (1 Samuel 3:1–10). Gideon had a physical revelation from God, and he still doubted what he had heard to the point of asking for a sign, not once, but three times (Judges 6:17–22,36–40).
When we are listening for God’s voice, how can we know that He is the one speaking?
First of all, we have something that Gideon and Samuel did not. We have the complete Bible, the inspired Word of God, to read, study, and meditate on. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
When we have a question about a certain topic or decision in our lives, we should see what the Bible has to say about it. God will never lead us contrary to what He has taught in His Word (Titus 1:2).
My Sheep knows my voice
Although we didn’t delve deep using the story of Samuel or Gideon, one of the guests remarked how she valued listening to individuals as they shared personal testimonies. It became a reality to her that it is possible and that people today are still able to hear the voice of the Lord. Amen.
It’s amazing how the testimonies represented the Word of God in its fullness.
Once we are His sheep and led by The Shepherd, we know His voice. There is no doubt, a stranger voice we do not hear.
As His sheep, let’s continue to live a Godly lifestyle that is led by the Shepherd that when He speaks we will not only listen but trust and obey.
Do we really know that He speaks to us in different ways?
Either way, when God speaks He gives:
Direction
Revelation
Comfort
Assurance
Words of encouragement from Sis Angelica
Don’t be frighten or intimated by the powerful sounds, authoritative tones, visual realities of destructive forces etc..
Stay focused and be still when things are ‘topsy turvy, discombobulated, out of the norm, treacherous, overwhelming, dangerous, out-of-control etc …
Just be still this is not the doings of God. Though powerful it seems, it is fake power Stay calm. Only God is Almighty
Know the voice of God. Learn to differentiate between Evil powers and Holy powers.
God told Elijah to get up because the journey is great and needs to be completed😳 🤷🏼♀️.
Please feel free to share in the comment box below about hearing the voice of the Lord or your experience of December 2021 Morning Glory.

In March 2020, the Ministry of Empowerment (MoE) established T.R.U.S.T at the Wellness Centre in Croydon, a cancer support group, that supports, encourages and empowers people affected by cancer through various activities and events. It was following the disappointment of not being able to attend a cancer conference at Westminster that members of our community affected by cancer came together to form T.R.U.S.T
T.R.U.S.T (Trust, Respect, Unity, Strength and Togetherness) is a cancer support group providing practical and emotional support to people living with and affected by cancer. The group is open to everyone but has a particular focus on engaging with BAME and marginalised groups affected by cancer.
Having cancer is often one of the most stressful experiences in a person’s life. However, from feedback from our members, MoE has evidence that sharing can make a real difference and have a positive impact on people’s emotional wellbeing and ability to cope.
T.R.U.S.T Cancer Support Group supports anyone living with or affected by cancer, primarily those living in Croydon.
T.R.U.S.T aims to enable those affected by cancer to:
Cope with the emotional aspects of cancer by providing a safe place to share and work through feelings and challenges.
Learn from others facing similar situations.
Have access to professional and therapeutic empowerment and resilience sessions.
