I have had the pleasure in being a part of the Ministry of Empowerment for over a year, since the pandemic to be precise. The group has surely been empowering as its name states, my experience has been inspirational as a facilitator of the ‘Let’s Talk & Relax’ sessions which is a virtual platform for individuals to have open conversations. It includes a variety of different topics/ talking points and totally supported by the participants.
It’s a free and open space to allow all to be themselves and most importantly to talk and be listened to. Individuals are able to obtain support and support others far and wide with participants coming on board from Croydon, the Midlands, Kent, and Jamaica to name a few.
The groups ethos is to allow all individuals to be greeted with a warm welcome and to be reassured that the group is about them and all information is accepted on an individual basis, respecting each other’s views and adhering to confidentiality as a group.
The group has been rewarding with lots of light hearted conversations, with a fun and joyful approach to each session, a great platform and a big Thanks to the participants and organiser for enabling
