In walks 'Miss Corona'

Written by Cheryl Johnson

From Covid Lockdown isolation to zoom togetherness

From March 2020 onwards…

Firstly we want to thank you all for your continuous support toward MoE. It is much appreciated and doesn’t go amiss.

Well if ever a time we need to trust the Lord and help each other is now. We can see around us and hear from the news what’s is happening right now in our land. Many have died due to the deadly virus Coronavirus. It is easy to fear and panic but let us remain calm as we maintain and trust the Word of God.

Let us keep in contact with each other to ensure that all is well. This one thing I know is that we can continue to pray sincerely for each another, our neighbors, our communities and for our government.

On the behalf of Ministry of Empowerment we are sending our condolences to all those who have lost loved ones due to COVID-19. To those who have lost someone in hospital or even those who worked for the NHS. You are all in our prayers and thoughts.

And so it was that we were instructed to stay indoors. All projects had to be shelved. Many who live alone were unable to meet with beloved family members and friends.

But along came Zoom and meetings Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays.

Informative, fun, interactive, enriching. Zoom sessions are held at the following times:

Tuesdays: 6:30pm

Thursdays: 2pm and 6:30pm

SOME Feedback

GODFREY GAYLE

I was late, but I'm grateful that security still let me in. I enjoyed myself in court this evening. what I heard was very good. There appears to be a lot to explore regarding the words used in this passage. I'm aware that even some of the most experienced scholars state that this is one of, if not the most difficult passages of scripture to understand. Very enjoyable. Thank you.

What can I say?...Todays session had me in stitches and even so there was still rich food for thought. What a blessing. Thank you to Judge Venise, Defender B and Prosecutor A for bringing and presenting in court and making come alive, various Bible characters so that we can experience what it would be like walking in their shoes.

That session has left me full of insight, emotion, enrichment, emotion. Thank you everyone.
